私が合気道を始めたのは、中学3年生の頃。

What is Aikido?

- A modern martial art from Japan that utilizes the power of harmony.

Aikido is a modern Japanese-born martial art founded by Morihei Ueshiba in the early Showa period.
Although its roots are in jujutsu, it does not aim for conflict or victory, but has a unique philosophy that emphasizes
passing on the power of the opponent and harmonizing with it.

Today, more than 1.6 million people around the world practice AIKIDO.
It is one of Japan's representative martial arts, loved around the world as "AIKIDO.

Aikido's greatest feature is that it is based on circular movements and
specializes in "versus many" movements that assume multiple opponents.
In addition, aikido does not take the match format found in most martial arts (*except for some schools), and
mainly hones its techniques through kata practice in pairs.


Instead of forcefully colliding with each other, they breathe together and nurture their body and mind in "harmony" with their partner.
This is why anyone can start without difficulty, regardless of age, gender, or physical strength.

Breathing power is the energy that comes from the core of the body even when not exerting any effort.
By relaxing and maintaining correct breathing and posture,
a state of "relaxed yet strong" can be created.


However, many people today live their daily lives with unconscious tension in their shoulders, back, hands, and jaw.
This "tension" is often the cause of fatigue and discomfort.

In Aikido practice, this "dereki" is carefully absorbed into the body.
This allows the body to move without relying on strength and the mind to relax.


Just by taking away unnecessary tension from your body, your mind will feel lighter.

A. Changing rooms are available.

A. For safety reasons, we do not allow visitors with children.

A. Cancellations or changes can be made up to 24 hours in advance.

A. In principle, we do not offer refunds for mid-term cancellations.
